Correction of some nomenclatural, typification, and other discrepancies inneotropical Pavonia (Malvaceae)

The resent publication of two major works on neotropical species of the gen us Pavonia at almost the same time has resulted in discrepancies needing ei ther correction or clarification. These items result from priority consider ations, conflicting typifications, and typographical and other errors in a few cases.
