Abstract
The sorption of biphenyl (BP) in dehydrated M-ZSM-5 (M=H+, Cu2+) zeolites t hrough solid-gas exchange spontaneously causes ionisation of BP molecules; the radical cation and trapped electron disappear slowly via two different electron transfer mechanisms.
