Abstract
The palladium-catalysed reaction of the tert-butyldimethylsilyl ether of a 3-(o-bromophenyl)allylic alcohol with a methyl ketone leads directly to a 1 -vinyl-1H-isochromene via a tandem ketone arylation-allylic cyclisation rea ction.
