Abstract
Newly discovered non-isoprenoid dialkyl diglycerol tetraethers containing 1 3,16-di- or 5,13,16-trimethyloctacosanyl moieties have been identified in p eats and coastal marine and lake sediments by HPLC-MS and high-field NMR sp ectroscopy.
