Abstract
A new method is proposed to estimate the liquid viscosities at ambient temp erature (20 degrees C) of pure organic compounds from chemical structure. E stimation is performed by using a new structural approach (GIG), which cons iders the contributions of interactions between bonding groups in the molec ule instead of the contributions of simple groups. Compared to other group- contribution methods, the proposed method demonstrates significant improvem ents in accuracy. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
