A series of new superacid catalysts MCM-41 supported SO42-/ZrO2(SZ) were pr
epared first by an impregnation-calcination method. The variation roles of
their texture constructions and acid properties were investigated in detail
, It was shown that a high amount of ZrO2 could result in the damage of the
pore system of MCM-41, however, superacid sites could not formed under a l
ow amount of SZ on MCM-41. The proper amount of SZ is about 40%, The supera
cidities of samples were increased with the increasing of ZrO2 contents. Bo
th medium strong acidities and weak acidities of samples were enhanced with
the introducing of SZ. The acidities of samples can be adjusted by changin
g the amount of SZ on MCM-41. This may be valuable in designing catalysts f
or the cracking reaction of large molecule hydrocarbon.
