Abstract
Combined with the recent series of work made by the authors, the new develo pment and major breakthroughs in the photoinitiated cross-linking of polyet hylene and its industrial application are reviewed, such as the enhanced ph otoinitiation system, mechanism of photocross-linking, crosslink microstruc tures, morphology and properties. A new technique of photocross-linked insu lated XLPE cables and its future applications are promising.
