The influence of the baked temperature for TiO2 ultrafine particles on the
photocatalytic oxidation reaction of SO2 was investigated. The photocatalyt
ic activity of TiO2 baked at 320 degrees C is higher than that at other tem
peratures (480 degrees C, 550 degrees C). It may be explained by the surfac
e state of TiO2, increasing the content of surface hydroxyl is helpful to e
nhance the photocatalytic activity. Recording to the experimental results,
the first order kinetic reaction and the mechanism of the reaction were sug
gested, also the rate constants and half-life time were reported.
