New experimental spectra for styrene(Ar)(n), n = 4-12 clusters have been re
corded using the technique of resonant one-color two-photon ionization and
time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Transition energies and spectral shifts r
elative to styrene have been determined and are reported. These spectra are
discussed in terms of progressive solvation dynamics. (C) 2000 Published b
