Abstract
Natural gas is increasingly widely used in energetics and industry. In the world energy balance, its share was almost equal to petroleum's. Explored g as reserves constitute 60 trillion m(3), and 40% are Russia and CIS countri es. Gas chemistry processes using natural and associated petroleum to prepa re practically important chemical compounds began to be developed intensive ly in the second half of the 20th century.
