Abstract
From March to early May 1997, much observational data of comet Hale-Bopp we re obtained at Sheshan station, Shanghai Observatory. The CCD image data ar e processed with the IRAF software and wavelet analysis. From the morpholog y of the spiral jet. it is found that there is a periodic variation in the structure of the precession of comet Hale-Bopp is discussed in this paper.
