Abstract
The structure activity relation ship of 1-isopropylamino-3-(2'-substit uted naphthoxy) propan-2-ois analogs, which are beta-adrenergic blocki ng drugs, is discussed. The blocking activity of these compounds is fo und to be dominantly controlled by electronic and steric factors. Sign ificant correlations have been obtained between the blocking activity and negentropy, equalized eletronegativity and partial charge.
