Abstract
The etiology, diagnosis, and management of infections in children are diffe rent than in adults, and few clinicians have extensive experience in these areas. Posttraumatic growth deformities are unique to children and represen t the fourth dimension of patient care, that is, changes occurring over tim e. Pediatric maxillofacial infections and secondary growth deformities asso ciated with orofacial trauma are discussed.
