Abstract
Several 2-aryloxy/chloroethoxy-2,3-dihydro-3-(2-nitrophenyl)-1H-naphth [1,2 -e][1,3, 2]oxazaphosphorine 2-oxides (3a-i) were synthesised from reactions of equimolar quantities of 1-(2-nitroanilinomethyl)-2-naphthol (1) with va rious aryl phosphorodichloridates (2a-h) and O-2.-chloroethyl phosphoryl di chloride (2i) at 50-60 degrees C in toluene-tetrahydrofuran (3:1) mixture i n the presence of triethylamine. IR, H-1, C-13, P-31 NMR and mass spectra w ere recorded and analysed.
