Abstract
Companies are heavily investing in information technology (IT) to enhance t heir market performance and competitiveness. IT also offers valuable opport unities in new product development for industrial companies. Several compan ies report that they successfully rise IT in their new product development activities. This article explores how IT can be used to facilitate new prod uct development activities and discusses its potential pitfalls.
