Abstract
[Co(S2O-kappa(2)S and Se-2)(dmpp)(2)](+) complexes were prepared and charac terized by X-ray analyses and UV-vis spectra to have side-on-bonded S2O2- a nd Se-2(2-) moieties. The analogous [Co(S2O-kappa(2)S)(depe)(2)](+) (depe = 1,2-bis(diethylphosphino)ethane) and [Co(Se)(dmpe)(2)](+) (dmpe = 1,2-bis( dimethylphosphino)ethane) complexes were also prepared.
