Abstract
The speed of light in an optical fiber is measured using a simple, com mercially available educational kit. The procedure consists of determi ning the time-delay for a modulated light pulse traveling through fibe rs of different lengths. The time-delay caused by the electronic circu its is then accounted for in a systematic way. (C) 1997 American Assoc iation of Physics Teachers.
