Abstract
The human liver is composed of small hexagonal structures called liver lobu
les. Cirrhosis destroys these liver lobules and replaces them with permanen
t connective tissue referred to as regenerative nodules. In this paper, we
propose a new modeling (technique Tor changes in the scatterer distribution
in liver tissue considering the structure of liver lobules to obtain image
s of the cirrhotic liver over continuous stages. Using these images, we ana
lyze the relationship between changes in characteristics of biological tiss
ue and changes in B-mode images during progressive liver cirrhosis.
