Abstract
A three-dimensional coordination polymer [Ni(en)(2)Ag-3(CN)(5)](n) (en = 1, 2-diaminoethane) was synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography . It crystallizes in the triclinic space group <P(1)over bar>, a = 7.520(2) Angstrom, b = 8.194(2) Angstrom, c = 8.426(2) Angstrom, alpha = 65.35(3)de grees, beta = 69.57(3)degrees, gamma = 68.91(3)degrees, V = 428.0(2), Angst rom(3) Z = 1. The 2D hexagonal grids are constructed using cyanides as brid ges, and the Ag ... Ag interactions between layers lead to a three-dimensio nal network.
