Abstract
Hadromys humei, Hume's rat, has a restricted geographical distribution Limi ted to northeastern India and southern China. During the middle Pleistocene , its distribution extended to the south, as it occurs in 10 fossil localit ies in Thailand. This southward extension of its distributional range is re lated to climatic changes that affected southeastern Asia during the Pleist ocene.
