Abstract
In this prospective randomized study of the use of the Terumo glide wi re compared with the standard straight wire for crossing of severely s tenotic aortic valves, the glide wire was shown to significantly decre ase the fluoroscopy time of the procedure and to lower by 3.4 times th e need for crossover to the alternative technique.
