Abstract
Kinetics of the polymerization of acrylamide have been studied employing K2 S2O8-EDTA-Ag+ redox couple under atmospheric oxygen. The rate expression ha s been obtained and a plausible mechanism suggested. The effects of varying concentrations of monomer, redox components, temperature, added salts, Hions and surfactants on the polymerization kinetics have been studied.
