Abstract
In an attempted syn thesis of radermachol (1), we had the occasion to prepa re ethyl-(1,4-dibenzyloxy-2,3-naphthalene)-diacetate (2) for further struct ural modification. This paper describes the synthesis and the X-ray structu re determination of compound 2.
