Abstract
The irradiation of 1-butyl-2,3-diphenylaziridine in the presence of 9, 10-dicyanoanthracene led to an azomethine ylide and enabled the stereo chemisry of the kinetic addition products of this ylide with methyl fu marate and maleate to be determined.
