Abstract
We describe an integrated fibre-optic, CW, broadly tunable Raman laser oper ating around 1.3 mu m. This laser was pumped by a cascaded-Raman fibre lase r at a wavelength of 1.24 mu m, which was pumped at a fundamental wavelengt h of 1.06 mu m derived from a multi-clad, high-power Yb-fibre laser. Tunabi lity from 1.29 mu m to 1.33 mu m was achieved with a maximum output power o f 140 mW. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
