Dj. Hou et al., Marine transgressional events in the gigantic freshwater lake Songliao: paleontological and geochemical evidence, ORG GEOCHEM, 31(7-8), 2000, pp. 763-768
The fossil remains of euryhaline organisms in the Mesozoic-Cenozoic, non-ma
rine sedimentary records of eastern China may have resulted from either mar
ine transgressions or inland hypersaline lacustrine environments. Paleontol
ogical and organic geochemical results of this study have provided new evid
ence for marine transgressional events in the gigantic freshwater lake Song
liao during the late Cretaceous. Crown Copyright (C) 2000 Published by Else
