Standard household electrical current is capable of producing a wide variet
y of injuries ranging from relatively minor burns and shocks to electrocuti
on and death. Although fractures have occasionally been reported, they have
usually only occurred in association with higher voltages or some other ty
pe of trauma. We present the case of an 11-year-old child who sustained a G
aleazzi fracture as a result of a standard 110-volt electrical shock withou
t any other associated trauma.
