PHOSPHORUS SULFUR AND SILICON AND THE RELATED ELEMENTS
New initiators 1-7, analogues of tetra-acetylethylenediamine, have been pre
pared and their use in the in situ generation of peroxyacids by reaction wi
th sodium peroxycarbonate described. The kinetics of perhydrolysis of these
initiators in aqueous solution under different conditions of temperature a
nd pH, as well as the use of these new "complex peroxygenated systems" in t
he destruction of organophosphorus and sulfur toxins and pollutants, have b
een studied.
