Abstract
Benzyltriphenylphosphonium peroxodisulfate (PhCH2PPh3)zS(2)O(8) (1) is read ily prepared as an white solid from benzyltriphenylphosphonium chloride, pe rforms conversion of alpha-sulfinyl oximes (2) and alpha-sulfinyl hydrazone s (4) to the corresponding beta-keto sulfoxides (3) in high yields and high enantiomeric purity.
