Abstract
Oxidative alkoxylations of P-4 in toluene-alcohol solutions are studied. Th ese reactions need oxygen, a catalyst (PdCl2, RuOHCl3, RuCl3) and a co-oxid ant (CuCl2, NaNO2, FeCl3, 1,4-benzoquinone, NaBrO3). Trialkylphosphates (RO )(3)P(O) and dialkylphosphites (RO)(2)P(O)H are the major products of the r eaction. Kinetic experiments concerning the rate of absorption of O-2 durin g these reactions are also reported.
