Dh. Tchrakian et F. Zimmerschied, 't Hooft tensors as Kalb-Ramond fields of generalized monopoles in all odddimensions: d=3 and d=5 - art. no. 045002, PHYS REV D, 6204(4), 2000, pp. 5002
Rank d-1 antisymmetric tensor fields in d Euclidean dimensions, known as Ka
lb-Ramond fields, can describe monopole-like solutions. In d=3 dimensions t
his Kalb-Ramond monopole is the (singular) Dirac monopole, which in turn ca
n be described by the (regular) 't Hooft-Polyakov monopole, via the 't Hoof
t tensor construction. This construction is extended to arbitrary odd dimen
sions by performing the d=5 case explicitly, exploiting the (regular) "mono
poles" of generalized Georgi-Glashow models and identifying their 't Hooft
tensors as the Kalb-Ramond fields. The relevant "magnetic charges" are expr
essed as topological invariants.
