Abstract
Termoksid type sorbents were used for decontamination of multicomponent sal t solutions from radionuclide impurities. These sorbents were tested under static and dynamic conditions as applied to both the simulating solutions a nd real wastewater from nuclear power plant (NPP). Termoksid sorbents allow efficient removal of radionuclides from solutions simulating wastewater fr om laundries and NPP bottoms containing significant amounts of organic and inorganic impurities and are characterized by fair radiation resistance. Wi th a small amount of the sorbent the decontamination degree for Cs-137 is n o less than 100; the sorbent service life corresponds to about 400-500 colu mn volumes. Thus, Termoksid type sorbents are promising for decontamination of large volumes of process solutions from radionuclides.
