Abstract
Trihydrates of Sm(III) trifluoroacetate and pentafluoropropionate and dihyd rates of Sm(III) heptafluorobutyrate and nonafluorovalerate were synthesize d. Their magnetic properties and IR spectra were studied. Thermolysis of th ese compounds at 300-380 degrees C yields samarium trifluoride.
