Abstract
The article summarizes the results of a major social experiment initiated b y the Social Security Administration to test case management as a tool of p romoting employment among persons with moderate to severe disabilities. Thi s comprehensive analysis shows the benefits of using an experimental design to derive realistic net outcome estimates. While the results cannot be gen eralized to other case management interventions, they are nevertheless inst ructive for planning new initiatives.
