Abstract
Optical properties of Eu(III)-dibenzoylmethane-ammonium cation complexes in ethanol, DMF, cyclohexane, which have different polarity, were investigate d using UV-vis, fluorescence and transient spectroscopic methods. it is fou nd that the spectroscopic properties of different ammonium cation complexes are almost consistent in the same kind of polar solvent, but slightly diff erent in nonpolar solvent. The luminescent decay curves of the complexes ar e single exponential in ethanol and DMF, but double exponential in cyclohex ane. The calculation results show that the populations of Eu3+ D-5(0) excit ed states are different in ethanol and DMF.
