Abstract
Cocaine binds into beta-cyclodextrin, but not detectably into alpha- or gam ma-cyclodextrin, in water solution. NMR studies indicate the geometry of th e complex, which is confirmed by molecular mechanics calculations and bindi ng studies on cocaine analogues and cyclodextrin dimers.
