Abstract
Protoplasts from sperm cells were isolated. Sperm cells from germinated pol len placed in solution were released, sieved and removed after sucrose dens ity gradient centrifugation. The isolated cells were spherical and approxim ately 5.0-6.0 mu m in diameter. Cytological observations confirmed that spe rm cells of common buckwheat are true protoplasts.
