Abstract
AC Malone is a six-row, spring feed barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivar de
veloped by the Eastern Canada Barley Breeding Group, Agriculture and Agri-F
ood Canada. It was derived from callus culture of Leger barley. To our know
ledge, AC Malone is the world's first barley cultivar selected from somaclo
nal variation. AC Malone performs well in Ontario, Canada.
