Fuzzy decision making based on the concept of feedback extension, which is a new concept and can be regarded as a basic tool for fuzzy decision making , is formulated. After defining the concept of feedback extension, envelope s of feedback extension and the degrees of coincidence of the concepts are introduced. Then the representation if the intention of a concept is descri bed. Finally, the methods of decision-making based on feedback extension-th e DFE method-are discussed in detail.
