Abstract
Transcription factors are often targeted for rapid degradation by the ubiqu
itin-proteasome system. Recent evidence points to a correlation between the
potency and instability of transcriptional activators, suggesting a possib
le direct role for ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis in transcriptional activ
ation.
