Some aspects of ecological modeling developments in China

The achievements of the applications of ecological modeling to population d ynamics, evolutionary and behaviour ecology, global climate change, ecotoxi cology, conservation of biodiversity, sustainable use of biological resourc es and ecological engineering, and space analysis of ecological data are re viewed. After undergoing three evolution stages in China, some new methods and ideas for ecological modeling have been proposed.
