Abstract
The effect of ground plane and dielectric truncations on the radiation patt ern of a slot antenna etched in a substrate covered conductor plane of fini te extent is modelled, measured and validated. The modelling method is base d on the evaluation of analytical Green's functions and the numerical compu tation of single integrals. The importance of taking the surface wave diffr action into account is demonstrated.
