Abstract
This paper discusses the operating regimes of a neodymium-doped potassium g adolinium tungstate laser in solid sapphire and quartz reflectors, as well as in a hollow reflector using an immersion compound. With a repetition rat e of 100 Hz, it can deliver an output energy of 0.5-5 mJ fur I - 1.5 min. ( C) 2000 The Optical Society of America. [S1070-9762(00)01408-1].
