Abstract
New alkyltriethoxysilanes were synthesized by condensing aminopropyltrietho
xysilane (APTS) with different aldehydes. These polysiloxane precursors con
taining an azomethine function enable layer preparation via the sol-gel pro
cess. Their conversion were followed by Si-29 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy. Th
e layers were characterized by IR, ATR and XPS.
