Abstract
Using numerical and experimental techniques, a wideband, low-Q, electricall y small antenna design is characterized as a function of frequency and the relative phasing between antenna elements. The antenna demonstrates wideban d operation, with a radiation Q approximately a factor of 20 below the Q-li mit established by Chu for electrically small, omnidirectional antennas.
