Abstract
The genus Venustusporium was erected to accommodate a single species, V. ch
elysforme R.F. Castaneda & Iturr. (1999). Neverthetess, the theme for estab
lishing the genus appears superfluous to that of an earlier genus, Turturco
nchata. The new combination Turturconchata chelysforme is proposed for Venu
stusporium chelysforme. A key is provided for the two described species.
