Abstract
It is shown that the solution of the nonstationary diffusion equation by th e Rytov method of smooth perturbations can be represented in the form of a path integral taken along the mean photon trajectory. This form is convenie nt for the tomographic reconstruction of the distribution of macroinhomogen eities in a strongly scattering medium. (C) 2000 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica ".
