Abstract
A cheap chlorophyll (Chl) a fluorescence imaging system was developed for m easuring leaf areas of 30x45 cm. Uniform saturating irradiances were create d using CuSO4 filtered radiation from stroboscopes. The system was tested u sing maize leaves treated with diuron. Comparison was made with a small-are a-measuring pulse amplified modulation Chi fluorometer.
