Abstract
Spatial variation of evaporation from an area with dambos is derived from r emotely sensed Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) data. The temporal variation of evaporation during the dry season from the area is used to classify the da mbos on the basis of the time after the end of the rainy season when the da mbo begins to evapotranspire at low rates indicating when they begin to dry out.
