Abstract
Possible factors responsible for the existence of two stages of deformation of sharply different nature on the rubberlike elasticity plateau are analy zed. The fast relaxation stage is due to the alpha-process, while the slow relaxation component is attributed to the lambda-process, the character of which is related to features of the macromolecular network structure of lin ear polymers with the junctions (nodes) representing fluctuational quasimic elles with large lifetimes.
